The elbow is a complex hinged joint.  The most common complaints of the elbow are mainly strain or inflammation of the soft tissues of the tendons.  Most of these can be treated conservatively but when such symptoms are struggling to improve with the conservative measures then surgery is indicated.

Elbow arthritis is a more difficult condition to treat when it happens to a younger patient and the surgery that is performed depends on the patient’s age, activity and the destruction of the joint

My previous practice until 2010 was to use Kudo elbow replacement which is unconstrained and has a good result about 80 - 90% for 7 – 10 years.  Now I predominantly use Coonrad Morrey cemented elbow replacement with a good result.
